Photography Studios Manchester – Now Complete!
Finally! As most of our friends, family, colleagues and clients will know, we started work on converting our large garage/gymnasium into a fantastic photographic studio just before Christmas 2010. My plans were originally to have the whole works complete and have an operational studio by the end of January 2011.
My professional photographer friends up and down the country were expecting the invite to a topping out ceremony and giving the studio its first session with a few models and plenty of laughs. However as a great business mentor once said to me, “No plan survives its 1st encounter with reality” And so it goes; the finishing of the studio took a few weeks longer than planned. Five to six weeks to be honest.
However, what we now have I believe, is a fantastic facility which gives us the opportunity to continue to provide photographic services when the good old British weather prevents us from getting the best from a natural light shoot outdoors. Equally as well, it gives us the benefit of being able to provide clients with some funky studio experiences.
Photography Studios Manchester
Photography Studios Manchester wide tend to be either on the high street or in an old mill. However our new studio is in great surroundings and this will give us the ability to shoot in and around the gardens as well. There is enough car parking for about 8 cars, so larger family portrait studio shoots are no problem whatsoever. With the latest Elinchrom studio lighting and 5 roll background system we are well and truly equipped to provide the highest quality of family portraits, fashion shoots and commercial photography.

At Bardsley Photography Studios Manchester we have tried to create a homely feel to the studio are and incorporated the seating area within the main studio space. Having visited a number of small and larger photography studios around the country I was conscious of the fact that most had separate waiting/seating areas. What I wanted to do was provide a comfortable space where mums and dads can sit whilst photographing the kids. At the same time I hoped to provide surroundings that don’t appear as sterile as some studio facilities. The whole idea is to get the most out of the people I am photographing and I believe that if they feel more at home, they are likely to relax more and thats when the best images are captured.
The seating area also doubles as a great area for me to sit down with clients from both the portrait/studio and wedding side of the business to go through the range of great products available and to view the images from the photo shoot when they are ready for viewing. I managed to incorporate a decent sized changing/dressing room. We salvaged 5 large 6ft x 4ft mirrors from the gymnasium and have used these in the changing room. So there is no reason why anyone visiting Bardsley Photography Studios Manchester should not look their very best.
Bardsley Photography Studios Manchester – Products
I have finally managed to find a permanent home for the great sample products we had produced just before Christmas. I purchased a beautiful easel from an antiques warehouse which now stands proud near the main doors to the studio. I have placed a lovely canvas print of Abbey, a lovely little girl i met up in Cumbria during a photo shoot at the Annabel Williams studio. Also now on display are some great acrylic products and I particularly love the use or metallic paper which gives an added sparkle and sharpness to the image.
