Mark and Dawn Partingtons Wedding Photography
-Wedding Photography-
Here are some of my favourite images from Mark and Dawn’s wedding photography
In October 2010, I was asked by a friend from the Aspire Bespoke Programme if I could shoot a wedding at very short notice. It turned out that Dawn was a close friend of Rebecca Deighton, a model I just happened to have taken a photos of in Cumbria on a great course run by Stuart Cooper at Annabel Williams Studio back in August. I spoke with Rebecca and offered to do their wedding photography on the 16th October 2010. In talking to Rebecca, she mentioned that Dawn was heavily pregnant which would be a great challenge for the day. I had never met, let alone spoken to either Dawn or Mark before the day. The weather could not have been any better. Considering it was mid October the sun shone all day, it was simply beautiful as you will see from the images of their day.
I arrived at Dawn’s house in Kendal at about 10:30am, following the directions given to be by Becky and Mrs Sat Nav. I took a number images of Dawn having the finishing touches of her make-up applied by Sarah Simpson and the brides maids having their hair done. With less than an hour to go to the wedding ceremony, I drove over to where Mark was staying to get some shots of him and the best man getting ready. They knew how to leave things to the last minute, that was for sure. With the necessary images in the bag, I rushed back to Dawn’s house to get some lovely shots of her in the dress and being fastened up.
Wedding Photography at The Graythwaite Manor Hotel
The civil ceremony in Kendal was very quick and in a great building. Then it was off to the Graythwaite Manor Hotel in Grange Over Sands for the wedding breakfast and reception.
I thought Dawn was a superstar on the day. Even though she was 7 months pregnant she was happy to give me the time needed to get some great images of their wedding day and hopefully do justice to their wedding photography?
